On March 24th 2007 a small group of the NPI team treated ourselves to do a self guided tour on board the World War II aircraft carrier the USS Hornet docked in Alameda, Ca. It's funny how you can live so close to something as amazing like the USS Hornet, but never take the time or advantage to investigate one of the best known active ships in the Pacific. Little did we know what we would encounter that day.
We arrived at the dock around a round 10am, loaded up our gear and headed on board. Lucky for us we started talking to a great guy named James, who happened to serve on the USS Hornet and now lives on board and is helping to restore the great ship back to it's glory. We asked James if he could suggest some places on the ship to explore and to our great surprise he offered to show us around. James shared story's about a blue vapor thats been seen floating around the ship and about an old sailor seen walking around the second deck. James also told us about a phone that has been known to ring that has not been hooked up for 20 plus years. (Caught the phone ringing on EVP) We took plenty of photos and had our digital recorders and video cameras running the whole time.
