Things That Go Bump In The Night
Ghost - A ghost is the “residual” energy of a person,
animal or even an inanimate object. The haunting of a
ghost can best be described as a recording in time
being played over again and again. There is no way to
communicate with a ghost, as there is no remaining
life-force left. Ghost hauntings will over time lose
energy and eventually disappear entirely. Although it is
possible to “recharge” a haunting under the right
circumstances. Personal sentimental items of the
passed person brought into the area can recharge a
haunting. Also, aura similarities, séances or ouija board
usage can cause a ghost recording to recharge.

Spirits - A spirit is the actual conscious presence or
soul of a person or persons who have remained in the
material world after their physical body has died.
Unlike a ghost, a spirit and the living are able to
communicate with one another. Why are spirits here?
There are countless number of reasons for spirits to
remain earth bound. Four main reasons a soul/spirit
remains behind after death. 1.) The spirit does not
realize his or her own death. 2.) The spirit has
unfinished business in the material world. 3.) The spirit
wishes to say goodbye to loved ones before moving
onto the afterlife. 4.) Lastly there is the need to offer
guidance to a loved one.

Poltergeists - (German for “Noisy Ghost”) At first
glance, a poltergeist may appear similar to ghosts and
spirits, but upon closer examinations, the differences
far outweigh the similarities. Where as ghosts and
spirits tend to haunt an area or place, the activity of a
poltergeist is usually concentrated around one person.
Activities start off as mild, but as it gains power and
energy it can quickly turn wild and even very
dangerous. There are generally five levels of activities
that lead to a full blown poltergeist haunting.
First Level - The feeling of being watched, unusual
animal activities, odd or offensive odors, cold spots and
or strange noises.
Second Level - More of the same as the first level, but
more direct. Whispers, moans, giggles, moving
shadows, visible clouds, marks on the floor or walls,
objects moving or thrown.
Third Level -  Electrical appliances turning on/off,
unseen hands grabbing or touching people, writing on
the walls, hearing voices, full apparitions/dark figures,
strange phone calls, moving furniture.
Fourth Level - Voices speaking in foul language or
ordering tones, flying objects, violently shaking
furniture, unseen forces pushing or shaking people,
levitation-physical attacks.
Fifth Level - At this level the poltergeist is at its highest
energy point and should be considered very
dangerous. Hair pulling, biting, slapping, punching,
human/object possession, threatening voices, being
held down, sexual assaults, blood on the walls, floors,
ceiling, knives and sharp objects flying with force, fires
or heavy objects falling over with the intent to kill.

Entities:

Angelic Entities - Serve mainly as messengers or
protectors. Angels are most often encountered during
a near death experience, or at a time of extreme stress
for a person.

Demonic Entities - Not very common, but usually
encountered only after an individual has invited one
into their lives in one fashion or another. One typical
scene is the use of a ouija board or a séance by
persons not trained properly, as in a slumber party with
young girls or teenagers. A demon entity can come to
this realm to wreak major havoc. Once an entity of this
type arrives, it is very difficult to send it back to its
original place of existence.
