Lisa Carmody

My name is Lisa, I have lived in the Bay area since
1989 and am the proud and adoring mother of two
bright teenagers.  I am originally from the San
Fernando Valley - a true "Valley Girl!"   I have had a
very strong interest in paranormal matters since I was
very young, although I am from a family of strong
disbelievers.  I was also born profoundly deaf.  This led
me, since I was very young, to develop a strong
intuition so I could understand what was happening
around me because of my disability.  Of course, using
my intuition, not to mention my strong curiosity and
sense of adventure also directed me to a number of
interesting experiences which included a few ghostly
activities, including a possible child ghost who followed
me into an elevator at an English hotel during one of
my European travels.

I have taken a few psychic development courses so I
could do more with my intution, with some mixed
results, but one of my dreams was to be involved with a
team of ghost investigators someday.  That is why I am
so thrilled to be a part of NPI as this will be fulfilling this
dream.

I feel that I bring a combination of unique skills to NPI
in addition to my intuitive skills.  By day I am a senior
paralegal so I find that my training, which includes
strong research skills, networking and a logical as well
as a questioning mind is very valuable.  I am looking
forward to working with NPI in its investigations in order
to help and educate people in the wonderful and
unusual world of the "Other Side."
